On 18 June, Boomerang Casino will be filled with the scorching hot energy of the mountains. That’s when the charming and charismatic Sultan Laguchev, a Russian singer-songwriter whose songs are bona fide modern classics, will take the stage.

Sultan Laguchev is a natural talent, a voice born from the winds of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic. It was at the age of 17, with no musical background, that he decided to dedicate his life to music, taking up traditional Abaza instruments. He may have a degree in law, but music is his true calling, where he gave up strict legal codes in favour of the freedom of the stage. And it was the right move! Laguchev’s rise to stardom started with the folk hit “We Are Abaza!” but it was the track “Bitter Fame” that really pushed him into the stratosphere, with the video for the single hitting over 125 million views. In 2022, he was awarded the title of Honoured Artist of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic.

Every single song by Sultan Laguchev is a touching story of love, inner strength, and loyalty. Slap on a catchy tune and the unique, velvety timbre of his voice, and you have the ingredients for a concert full of energy.
