Sochi Park

This huge amusement park in Sochi opened in 2014 and quickly became one of the most popular family destinations. It is the first theme park in Russia, created as an alternative to the famous Disneyland. On its grounds rises a fairytale castle — the Bogatyr Hotel, which has long since become one of Sochi’s landmarks. The territory of Sochi Park is divided into several themed zones, each with its own unique design and atmosphere. In the “Land of Heroes” zone, you’ll find rides with characteristic names such as “Bogatyr Outpost,” “Nightingale the Robber,” and “The Boat.” Children especially love this area, as costumed animators portraying characters from traditional Russian fairy tales create a festive and magical atmosphere for an unforgettable family vacation in Sochi.

Sochi Sea Port

The Sochi Sea Port is a wonderful place to visit with kids. Here you can admire the grand terminal building, constructed in 1955, as well as dozens of luxury yachts, cruise liners, and excursion boats. Families with children will especially enjoy sea trips — whether on motor ships, speedboats, or yachts. On a yacht, kids can feel like real captains: explore the deck and even sit at the helm. You can rent an entire vessel for a celebration or set off on a mini-cruise for several days. On larger ships, young passengers won’t be bored either — they love exploring the decks, making new friends, while parents can grab a bite to eat at the onboard café.

Sochi Oceanarium

Covering an area of about 6,000 sq. m, the Sochi Oceanarium houses over 5 million liters of water across 30 aquariums. Its main pride is a 44-meter acrylic tunnel and a huge viewing window of 24 sq. m, which make observing marine life completely safe yet incredibly fascinating. The vast Adler Oceanarium is divided into 31 themed zones, featuring more than 4,000 fish and marine animals from all around the world. Each section is designed with creativity and attention to detail: visitors are surrounded by coral reefs, seaweed, and shipwreck decorations, creating a true sense of diving into the mysterious underwater world. For children, the Sochi Oceanarium is a real celebration. The highlight is the walk through the transparent tunnel, where stingrays, sea turtles, and colorful fish swim just above their heads. Kids are especially delighted by the mermaid shows, exciting feedings of stingrays and moray eels, and the chance to feed koi fish in an open aquarium.

Musical Garden

On the Black Sea coast in Sochi, the Musical Garden has appeared — a new gem of landscape design and a perfect place for family recreation. In the shade of coniferous and deciduous trees, palms, and shrubs brought from various corners of the subtropics, everyone can find something to enjoy. For walks and photo sessions, the park features a Japanese garden, sculptural compositions, and observation decks with swings that offer picturesque sea views. For active leisure in Sochi, there is a sports area, a tennis court, a pétanque playground, and a multi-level children’s zone. The garden is called “Musical” for a reason — a modern music school is located nearby, and concerts are regularly held on the open stage and in the amphitheater. Thanks to its natural protection from sea winds, it’s comfortable to spend time here year-round. This is one of those places in Sochi where nature, art, and music create a special atmosphere. The main attraction for kids is the large playground. Here they will find slides, swings, dry fountains, ropes and climbing frames, obstacle courses, and sandpits — everything children love. Parents, on the other hand, will appreciate the many benches and shady corners where they can relax and enjoy the moment.

All of them have gentle temperaments and fluffy coats, instantly bringing smiles to both children and adults. The park is located in the center of Adler, just a three-minute walk from the main beach. This makes it a unique spot where a seaside holiday in Sochi can easily be combined with an amazing encounter with animals. Children especially love feeding alpacas and rabbits by hand, petting them, and even taking the cute animals for a walk. Alpacas never bite or kick, but happily pose for photos. After a visit, many people experience true “alpaca nostalgia” — a lightness of spirit and the desire to return again. This is a wonderful place for family recreation in Sochi, guaranteed to bring plenty of bright emotions and become one of the most memorable experiences of your holiday.

Skypark

Imagine the excitement of a child taking their first steps onto a suspension bridge hanging between cliffs. Beneath, the Mzymta River roars, while all around rise the majestic peaks of the Caucasus Mountains. This is the kind of adventure awaiting visitors at Sochi Skypark — one of the most breathtaking destinations for recreation and unforgettable emotions. The park opened in July 2014, thanks to the legendary inventor of bungee jumping, A.J. Hackett. Inspired by the ancient rituals of islanders, he created the formula for the strongest ropes used in jumps. Later, Hackett went on to build adventure parks around the world — from the USA and China to New Zealand and Singapore. In Sochi, he brought to life a project that not only offers guests unique attractions but also preserves nature: during the construction of Skypark, neither the river nor the relic forest was harmed. Today, this place attracts not only thrill-seekers but also families with children — here you can stroll along scenic suspension bridges, enjoy breathtaking views, and soak in the spirit of real adventure.

After discovering the exceptional quality of local fruits and vegetables, Inga decided to create her own farm — a place where eco-friendly products could be produced while also welcoming guests who love nature and outdoor recreation. Today, the farm has become one of Sochi’s favorite spots for family outings. Friendly animals, accustomed to human interaction, live here. Adults can feed them carrots, while children enjoy giving milk to the little ones. Kids love petting goats and calves, taking photos with horses, and observing everyday farm life. Covering an area of about 20,000 sq. m., the water park features 10 pools for swimming and relaxation, 11 water slides, 7 artificial waterfalls, play complexes for children, as well as saunas and a bathhouse with a salt-room effect. Guests can also find cafes, restaurants, and lounge zones with sunbeds for maximum comfort. For younger children, there is a separate heated pool with crystal-clear water and fun slides shaped like an elephant, an octopus, and a snake. Playful elephant figures spray water from their trunks, and after swimming, kids can refresh under a clown-shaped beach shower. After all, who needs museums and excursions when there’s warm seawater nearby, perfect for diving for pebbles, building sandcastles, launching toy boats, and laughing under the bright sun? Sochi’s beaches have long been a comfortable place for family vacations. They offer a gentle entry into the water, much like a swimming pool, which is especially important for young children. Parents can relax on sun loungers under umbrellas, while kids delight in ice cream at every corner, rides on colorful “banana” boats, inflatable slides, and fun entertainers. Thanks to all this, seaside relaxation turns into one of the most beloved activities in Sochi for the whole family.

At Gorki Gorod, children can enjoy the water park and the husky center, where they can ride in a sled and play with friendly northern dogs. Tiso-Boxwood Grove

The Tiso-Boxwood Grove is one of the most remarkable places in Sochi and the most accessible part of the Caucasian Biosphere Reserve. It is the only area under UNESCO protection. Here, a relict forest has been preserved, virtually untouched by humans: the ecosystem carefully retains the features of the pre-glacial period. Millions of years ago, almost all of Europe was covered with such Colchian forests. Today, in the Boxwood Grove of Sochi, you can find more than 500 species of plants, many of them unique. Around 60% date back to extinct geological eras, and 20% are endemics that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Particularly impressive are the giant trees, including the endangered yew berry tree, about a thousand years old. But the main treasure of the grove is the evergreen Colchian boxwood, listed in the Red Book of Russia. For tourists and families with children, convenient walking trails are available. With little ones, it’s best to choose the “Small Ring” route (1.6 km, 30–60 minutes), while with school-age children you can try the “Big Ring” (5 km, 3–6 hours) or the “Into the Depths of Ages” trail (1.8 km, 2–3 hours).
